Teams
In just five seasons, Mirage has made a steady climb through one of Canada's largest and most competitive divisions, and is
still on the way up. Formed in 2002 as Ice Rhapsody, the team started strong with a 4th place Rose Bowl finish,
bronze at Provincials, silver at the Northern Classic, and an 8th place finish at their first Nationals. Over the next
three years they added Provincial gold, another Northern Classic medal (bronze), an impressive 4th place finish
out of 17 teams at Westerns in 2006, and two more Nationals berths. When Kim Boorman became head coach in 2005, the
team took on a new identity and wanted to reflect that with a new name for 2006-07. Thus, Mirage was born, and continued
the impressive transformation that began under Kim's leadership a year earlier. Mirage ended the 2007 season
as Ole Uffda Silver Medalists, Rose Bowl Bronze Medalists, and four-time National Competitors. They also won the
hearts of fans and fellow competitors with a courageous, inspiring comeback skate in Camrose after an on-ice
accident had left two of their skaters injured at the Western Championships less than a week earlier.
Mirage is 16 determined skaters ranging in age from approximately 18 to 30, with a passion for synchro and a love of
good times! We're looking for more skilled, committed, fun-loving skaters to add to our team. Contact
Chelsey for more information.
